Selected Performance Indicators

This report provides an overview of the University’s performance in key areas, and to facilitate a review of the key strategies and targets of the University. The emphasis is therefore on performance in relation to the objectives and goals articulated in the Academic Profile, the Strategic Profile and the Operational Priorities Plan (OPP).

The indicators in this report relate mainly to overall University performance in relation to the latest OPP. Further information is provided to facilitate consideration of other key aspects of the University’s performance.

Selected Faculty Performance Indicators

This report provides a set of performance indicators at Faculty level to facilitate the annual review of performance and subsequent adjustment of targets as described in the Cycle of Planning and Accountability document. Particular emphasis is given to performance in relation to the objectives articulated in the latest Operational Priorities Plan (OPP).

Performance indicators are provided in this report grouped under objectives classified according to five of the six major areas of importance identified by the OPP. Most of these indicators are those previously specified in the OPP, while others are subtly different or supplement the information provided to facilitate a broader consideration of Faculty performance.

Research Training Indicators Report

The indicators presented in this report are provided primarily to assist in monitoring the University's performance in training higher degree by research (HDR) students and are derived from the annual Graduate Destinations Survey (GDS), Postgraduate Research Experience Questionnaire (PREQ), internal files prepared in conjunction with datasets prepared for DEST Statistical Collections, and statistics and datasets obtained from DEST.

Internationalisation Performance Indicators

This report has been prepared as part of an analysis of the University's performance towards its vision of achieving international excellence. Data collected compares the University over time by students' cultural backgrounds and experiences and the University's international links and recognition.

The emphasis is on the University's performance in relation to key objectives and goals specified in the Internationalisation Plan and derived from various sources namely the Selected Performance Indicators Report, Postgraduate Research Experience Questionaire, Course Experience Questionaire and internal datasets.

Staffing Performance Indicators (Draft)

This report provides a set of indicators that measure the University's staffing performance. It provides an insight into the University's staffing performance, and to facilitate a review of the key staffing strategies and targets of the University.

The indicators in this report consist of two parts. The first part measures the University's staffing performance over time; the second part compares the University's staffing performance to other universities in the country.
