Role Statement:

Planning Services' role is to provide a professional administrative support service, including policy analysis, development and advice, and statistical and research-based management information, to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the University's planning, review and evaluation of performance, resource allocation and other decision-making processes, and compliance with many of its external statutory reporting and negotiating requirements.

Major Functions:

(i) The preparation and co-ordination of data and submissions for internal parties and external agencies (DEEWR, Centrelink, GCA, ABS, Australian Taxation Office, ARC and WA Department of Education Services). Of particular importance is the preparation of the major DEST statistical collections, the coordination of the annual Institution Assessment Farmework submissions, preparation of bids for new Commonwealth-supported places, the preparation of the annual Admission and Quota Policy, and the preparation of data for submissions and responses to external reviews and enquiries.

(ii) The provision of information (derived from research and statistical collections) and support to facilitate the University's planning, review and evaluation processes, decision-making and resource allocation processes.

(iii) The preparation of data for compliance with Federal and State legislation in the policy areas of equity, equal opportunity and affirmative action.
